Watching Herbie become an emotional support dog for first responders and men and woman in halfway houses. He will also be at different events for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Isabelle, Mia and Jeri Steward
Isabelle, a Great Pyrenees, was a kind and loving family member. Her laid back attitude and gentle spirit made her the perfect therapy dog. Jeri and Isabelle were a certified therapy team with Mid-Michigan Therapy Dogs. As a team, their goal was to share unconditional love and smiles to people of all ages. Whether it was to relieve some stress or bring a smile to someone who was lonely or sad. They regularly visited assisted living facilities every week and also participated in other visits including a cancer camp for kids, welcoming the troops home for holidays, and stress relief for college students, to name a few. Isabelle left all who met her with a lasting memory of happiness, comfort, and a paw print on their heart. Isabelle recently went to the rainbow bridge but not before meeting her little sister Mia who Jeri plans to continue the work that she and Isabelle started. Isabelle will be missed by all the hearts she touched.

THE RESCUE ~ BABY
Baby wondered on to our farm up our driveway dragging a chain on a very stormy morning.
She was very aloof (as pyrs can be) and shy. We housed her in a kennel for quarantine and posted fliers all over along with FB to see if we could find her owners but no luck, and no microchip. She stayed with us while we had her checked by our vet and got her appropriate vaccines. we decided not to send her to a shelter and just rehome her from here giving her time to learn to like people. In the mean time everyday Len and I would go in and spend time with her in the kennel wishing she could talk to us and tell us her story instead we kept in everyday, it took about 10 days until she would come to us instead of us going to her. She always wagged her tail when we came to see her and her entire body wiggled she would get so excited. Len said "SHE TOOK A COOKIE!" Len again "SHE GAVE ME A KISS" in the mean time I and my helper were still working on her coming up to us. After about 10 more days she did it she liked us just as well. LOL Then she would start to play with all of us, she liked walks didn't care about the cats or ducks much. Loved all the other dogs and especially the puppies she got to see. She was here for months until one day we got a call from a very nice couple who had dealt with rescues and understood what it takes, still a bit apprehensive we sent many videos and chatted for weeks about her with them. They live in Las Vegas we all wanted to make sure she would be a good fit. We know a great transport person but felt with all the hard work we didn't want to stress her so Len took her out to them. She has a wonderful new home and with in 24 hours of her being their she was doing all the things she had done at the farm including the morning greet with body wiggles. she is greatly missed.
